Biography
Lazgin Kh. Barany is an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics at the College of Languages, Nawroz University , and a visiting professor at the department of English , College of Basic Education University of Duhok . I have taught English language, TESOL and Applied Linguistics at different academic institutions including university of Duhok , University of Mosul, Mosul Technical Institute and DePauw University in America . I have also supervised and examined postgraduate students in TESOL and Applied Linguistics. I was the Director of Training and Development Center of University of Duhok for the period 2010 -2014.Since 2008 I have been a scholar at the Institute of International Education (IIE) in the USA. From February 2010 to September 2010 I was a Visiting Scholar and Part-Time Faculty Member in Linguistics and University Studies, DePauw University , Indiana, USA and two times as a Visiting Faculty to the Department of English and English Language Center, Michigan State University (MSU), Michigan, and USA. I have attended conferences, professional meetings and symposia in Sweden, France, Austria, Malaysia, the U.S., Germany, Norway, and Jordan among other countries.
